"My English Experience"

Hi everyone! This is a special situation and to be more specific this is a really sad moment because like I’m in the final level of English in my study program and as I’m expecting pass it so this would be my last post of the year or forever…

Well, for the same situation the topic of this week is about my English experience and about some changes that I could propose to this course.

I started my English experience on English 3^rd because when I started the university I did a test to see my level and that was the result… I was really happy because I could finish in one year something that is for 2 years and that is a really great option that gave the university to the students because, for example if you stayed in the 4^th level with the test, you could decide if you want to start in level 1,2,3 or 4 and also It’s is so great because If you have like a medium English is a little boring and a waste of time do the basic course…Obviously, that is my vision.

Talking about the class there were so dynamic and entertaining the both semesters and I have learned a lot of how to react or how to developed in some regular situations, like giving directions, an advice, an opinion of everything and I have win a lot of personality, talking about talk in English.

About the “blog experience” I found this a really innovative way to practice your writing English and I have never thought that I could write more than a paragraph of anything and that is awesome because now I could write, read and understand a lot of new things. But I know that I can be better in those aspects and especially in the “spoken English” so I propose to myself take other course of English in this faculty, like the scientific and read books with that language too.

To finish, I have to say that the English is not just in the class I also use this language knowledge when I see movies without subtitles and when I listen to music, I try to write the lyrics in English and then I translate them.

“My goals list”

Hi! Today I’m going to write about “My Bucket List” but that name is a little weird to me and I have to admit that when I read the topic I didn’t understand the meaning… so I decide to call the topic as “My goals list”.

Well, first of all I’m not the kind of person who has a list of goals physically but since I was little I placed goals to reach in my head like pass all the courses with a six or more note, learn to play the piano, learn how to play volleyball and that kind of things. Then when I was in my last year of school my goals list began to become longer and difficult because I wanted to enter to the “Universidad de Chile, University” and I would need to have a good score on the “PSU”… That was a really stressful and difficult year.

But in spite of all I have achieved each of the goals previously mentioned and know I have other goals in my life… starting with be the best pharmacist that I could be, pass all the courses trying not to repeat them and I said “trying” because unfortunately I have to repeat “General Chemical 1” this semester but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t try pass the course.

Talking about other goals that I have on my mind in this moment one of them is travel to the north of Chile, specifically to Arica because my father was born there and when he talk about Arica and his memories always finish saying that he has always wanted go there with us (mom, brother and I).

For another part, this year I started to live alone and I propose to myself live more, enjoy more and meet with new persons… I think that I'm going really well with this because in the faculty there are all kind of persons and I could share with them in class, parties ans that kind of situation.

To finish I want to tell you that is good have some goals in mind because if you get them you would be so happy and the life is to be happy. Or not?

"Some Changes"

Hi everyone! This week I’m going to write about some changes that I would like to do in my study program…

Well, as we know almost the 100% of the careers have unnecessary subjects and I say “unnecessary” because the most of them don’t have something related with the work that you would like to do in the future or maybe could exist the possibility that the subject could be necessary for understand others things that you definitely will use in your future job but it doesn’t include all the massive matters that you should learn in the subject, just is a little part of it (that could be called like “junk content”). Based in my study program and in my first year of university I consider Calculus, Mechanic and their derivatives subjects in the category called “unnecessary” and If I could change them for another subject related with things that we will used in the future I would do it.

Talking about the study program in a general vision I would like to change the subjects with pre-requisites reducing the pre-requisites to just one or zero, because there are some subjects that need like 2 or 3 approve subject to take it then and if you don’t pass just one of them you couldn’t take that subject the next semester and in consequence you are delaying the end of the career… That is horrible; because the workload of the career is very heavy and sometimes to save one subject you have to leave another and that hinders pass all the matters.

"Summer vacations"

Hi dear lector! This week I’m going to write about my plans or ideas for this summer.

Well as we know the summer is the hottest station of the year and unforgettable my long vacations are in that period, I said unforgettable because I really hate that kind of weather. It’s is so infuriating and if you go outside you couldn’t enjoy a lot if you don’t have something refreshing like the beach, ice-cream and air conditioning.

With that you could imagine that If someone ask me what places I would like to visit in the summer , I would say that any beach is a good place to visit in that situation. Personally I would like to visit Pichilemu city because it’s the nearest beach-city of my house in Rengo and with my family always go there. We always chose Pichilemu because that place is beautiful especially in summer because you could visit the craft fairs, go to the attractions park, and eat a lot and other things like that.

Talking about the people that I would like to be in summer I think that the vacations are to enjoy with your family and with your friends, because is like the unique moment of the year that everybody have time to go out or do something like go to the cinema, finish the series that you postponed during the year, meet with your friends that study in other regions (like me), play with your pets, learn how to pay the piano and I could continue but that are the things that I would like to do.

To finish I want to say that some people work or study in the summer but that it’s not my situation… I really take the summer to rest.

"Through the time"

Hi! This week I`m going to write about an imaginary and incredible situation...

What would you do if you could back to the past or to be more general, if you could travel through the time?

I asked myself this a couple times before, and I conclude that I wouldn't like go to the future because if I go there and them back to the present time and left that the real time pass, that will be a boring life because nothing going to be exciting to me or new...and if I go to the future I would have a lot of curiosity of how I will died or things that I really don't need to know...

So I would prefer go to the past because there are a lot of moments that I was really happy and also there are persons that in the present time don't stay anymore and I really miss them.

Talking about make changes in that time I consider myself a really positive and optimist person and I think that all the things that I lived and all the things that I did created the person that I'm in this moment. All we had some bad memories but we have to rescue the good part of that, don't make the same mistakes and be a better person, So I wouldn’t change anything or just maybe I’d have enjoyed more, I’d have liked pass more time with my friends and family and just that kind of things.

Finally, if I could go back to any period of the time I’d like go back to the time where my parents were young and see how they knew each other, how they fell in love, see their marriage and if I remember  good that period last 2 years so I would like be there all that time.

"Postgraduate Studies"

Hi! as you know I’m studying chemistry and pharmacy and as I wrote in the last post, I would like work in hospitals, specifically in the area of Drug surveillance… I mentioned this because the topic of this week is about a postgraduate course that I would consider taking in the future and obviously it’s related with that area.

First I have to say that I didn’t know the postgraduate courses almost now and there are a lot to choose, but the one that convince me and the one that I would like to take in the future is the “Clinical Pharmacy course”, because it’s completely related with the area that I mentioned on the beginning and with that course I will be more prepared to developed as a good Clinical pharmacist in the hospital, doing my job with more confidence and also the most importance reason is that I could help more people with my knowledge.

In that course I would like have subjects where I could learn how to analyze theoretical clinical cases and how make health projects oriented to the prevention, detection and resolution of problems related to the pharmacotherapy.

Talking about where I would like to take this course I have to say that I would like to keep studying in Chile and in this faculty too because in the future I’d like to work and do good things for the country that gave me everything.

To finish, I’d like take this course as a part time course, because the other part of my time I’d work to pay it… Unforgettable this is not free.

"My Future Job"

Hi! This  week I’m going to write about a job that I’d like to have in the future and to begin I have to say that in this moment I’m studying Chemistry and pharmacy so the next things are related with this career .

When I choose this career to start my life as a university student, I didn’t know the incredible and massive work camp that have the pharmacist or the possibilities that could have when they finish the study program, so in that moment I thought that my future job would be as the typical pharmacist in the community pharmacy doing things like sell medication and give the best advices to the people about the best drugs to their discomforts and how treat them. 

But now, in my second semester my mind changed completely … Now I know that the pharmacists can work in hospitals, cosmetics industries, PDI, universities as teachers and so many things that I couldn’t imagine yet…

So, with all that knowledge I would like work in hospitals, specifically in the area of Drug surveillance, because I love treat with all kind of people and search the best treat to their diseases looking how the medication make changes in  his organism… I imagine myself doing that, helping people and know them in the process… That will be amazing.

Work as a Drug surveillance is a indoors work and I have always preferred that kind of job because I’m the type of persons that are very organized talking about the hours of work and I like to keep and have confidence with a stable group of work and I thinks that the outdoors work is not so ‘stable’. With that you can imagine that I wouldn’t travel a lot in my job.

Finally, talking about the salary I know that this type of pharmacist are well paid but I didn’t how much exactly they win for a moth of work, but I would like receive enough money to be  economically stable.

"Movies"

Hi lector! This week I’m going to write about movies and my favorite one it’s called “Now you see me”. This movie was released in 2013 and it’s a heist thriller film.

The films is about four individual stage magicians, J. Daniel "Danny" Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Henley Reeves (Isla Fisher), and Jack Wilder (Dave Franco that were united by a mysterious subject, to protest against abuses of an insurance undertaking. To do that, they create big presentations using all kinds of illusions and tricks, but these tricks make that police and the FBI keep them constantly monitored, complicating their plan…

 I chose this film because it is very interesting and out of the ordinary... In addition its effects and illusions make it very entertaining to watch and not get bored in the attempt. Also I have to say that the best part of this movie was the end… you’ll never imagine that “x” person was behind of all the things and I write “x” person because if I write the name that will be a spoiler.

Talking about the kind of movies that I like to watch I think that action and science fiction films are my favorite ones because I’m a big fan of Marvel productions and also I like to watch animated films too because I love all their songs, histories and If I’m right the last movie that I see was “The lion King”, the best animated movie of the time (for me) so if you haven't seen it yet, you should do it… 

I wish visit...

Hi! This week I have to write about a country that I’d like to visit and the first one that comes to my mind was Bangkok the capital of Thailand. I choose this country because the last week, when I was in my house looking for something to watch I stopped in a Food channel.  The program that I saw was “Cocineros por el mundo” and its show the food in a specific country and how it’s prepared or how much do you have to pay for it and other things and how you, dear lector, can imagine that day the program was about Bangkok.

Well, thanks that, now I know that Bangkok is called “The city that never sleep” because it has a lot of nightlife for all the young people that go to the outdoors bars and thanks the amazing street food, that also is the cheapest in Thailand. So If I go there I would like taste all the food that Is typical of that country, visit the great Buddhist temples and with that know and feel their culture.

Finally I would like to  work in Bangkok but just for a couple of years because I would like to travel to another country too and because I will miss my family so much.

"The best Concert"

Well, in my short live I just have been in two "big" concerts. The first one was the "Believe Tour" of Justin Bieber on November 12^th of 2013 and the second one was part of the "Taking one for the team Tour" of Simple Plan and was the last year on December 15^th.

If I have to decide between both concerts my favorite one was the last, SIMPLE PLAN.

Simple Plan is one of Canada's most successful punk-pop acts, formed on 1999.

I started to listen that band because one of my best friends recommend me the song “shut up” in 7^th grade and when I heard the song  I finished listening all their songs because they are so addictive…  In consequence I love that band since I was in 8^th and my friend and I made the promise that if they come to Chile, we will go.

The concert took place in Santiago specifically on the “Cúpula” located in O’Higgins Park and I have to admit that was the best experience of my life, first of all because I went with my friend and because the atmosphere was so incredible… everyone was screaming, jumping and singing so heavy.

Blog Sessions: Opinion

Hi! dear lector, this week I’m starting the last level on this course, English 4, and I have to admit that I'm a little scared, because my skills in English are not the best, especially talking about "speaking" and "writing". I think that the first one is more difficult than the others, because I'm a very shy person and my pronunciation is not the best. For another part, the easier skill to me is "reading", because I can understand almost every word.

Well, talking about new topics, I would like write about new discoveries (not just about science), animals and favorite books…

To finish I have to say that this “Blog class” have been one of the best way to practice my English writing and It’s amazing that we can continued with it.
